Getting ready for the visit
- If a test needs fasting, eat dinner as usual and then only plain water until the sample.
- Keep your prescription and a photo ID handy; the collector photographs the prescription.
- Wear a loose sleeve and sit near a table with good light.
- For the Sugar Watch Panel, the collector returns or you send the second sample after your meal.
What the collector brings
Single-use needles and tubes opened in front of you, barcode labels, gloves, a cotton swab and plaster, and a cold box. ECG at home uses a portable machine; X-ray and ultrasound need a centre visit.
